What’s been happening:

After three years of sea duty in the Navy to satisfy my Naval ROTC obligation, returned to PSU grad school following a year in the family ice cream business. Received MS, Ph.D. in Dairy Science, then served on Dairy Science faculties at University of Wyoming and Ohio State University. The next 30+ years were spent leading the global technical activities at two high-tech suppliers to the dairy industry, with a focus on ice cream. Currently providing technical consultation and training service to the ice cream industry internationally, as shown at www.brucetharp.com.
